Thursdays
We start the day with a circle assembly to discuss nature topics, positive environmental news and updates on the farm animals.
We then break into age groups for Science, including Biology, Physics and Earth Science. This will include opportunities for practical application, observations, discussions and writing.
At 11am we stop for break until
After break we have seasonal activities like foraging, apple pressing, cooking, cordial making, harvesting, digging and planting.
We then break for a packed lunch at 12.45pm.
After which the children have opportunities to collect eggs from our hens, feed the sheep and perform other farm duties.
In the afternoon we play outdoor sports or indoor games (weather dependant)
and Sarah Brindle comes in for optional LAMDA lessons.
Twice a term we will take a trip to our 20 acre private woodland for Archery, Games and Bushcraft (weather permitting)
We also host an annual Field to Fork cookery competition.
